Game Building Workshops
First Coding is once again running its game building workshops for children between 7 – 10 and 10 – 15 years old. The courses are created to allow students to explore computer concepts and to try out new technology whilst having fun and giving you the chance to experience what it’s like to be a maker. The workshops are centred around game building and will finish with a presentation of all the games made at the end for friends and family to enjoy.
Scratch Game Workshop: Ages 7 – 10
Monday 12th August | 1pm – 3pm | £20
This workshop is great for children who would like to get creative and make their own games in Scratch.
Python Game Workshop: Ages 11 – 15
Tuesday 13th August | 12pm – 3pm | £30
This workshop is ideal for students who are new to Python or would like to brush up on their programming skills. Learn how to make a text-based adventure game and a website to showcase your project. This is a great way to start your online portfolio.
App Building Workshops

Have you got a great idea for an app? First Coding is running an app development workshop this summer for people who would like to learn how to build apps without any coding experience and publish them to the app store. Android only.

Publishing apps to the app store

£20 per session | £50 for all three sessions
First Coding teaching workshops are playful and creative professional online learning experiences for educators who are interested in teaching with the Scratch programming environment.

Thursday 29th August 2pm – 4pm | Pushing Scratch to the limit. A gateway into electronics
Friday 30th August 2pm – 4pm | Creating websites and apps with Scratch projects
The workshop fee includes a month’s access to the First Coding teaching resources.
