After School Clubs
First Coding offers a series of school clubs suitable for years 5 through to 9, covering activities such as game design and 3d printing.
Within our Scratch and Python workshops, step-by-step worksheets are developed for each session, helping students create an interesting type of game using Scratch or Python, with the provided workshop sheets. This not only gives a rewarding feeling of completion to students, but also helps to cover the basic fundamentals of programming and coding for younger pupils. And for our 3D printing workshops, in which students learn the fundamentals of 3D design, before learning how to design and print their own 3D keyrings.

Game Design Workshops
Join us this holiday season for First Coding’s Christmas-Themed Coding Club! 🎅🎄
Designed for children aged 8 to 11, this festive workshop will guide young coders in creating their very own Christmas Cracker Joke Machine in Scratch! 🤖💻
Kids will get hands-on with coding as they build a machine that tells the most groan-worthy, cringe-tastic Christmas cracker jokes.
All they need to bring is their favourite (or most terrible!) Christmas jokes to share (and a laptop if attending the Portchester workshop). It’s the perfect mix of holiday fun and tech creativity—don’t miss out on the laughs and learning this season!

For Portchester, attendees will need to bring their own laptop and have a parent remain with them.
GCSE Computer Science Tuition
Group Tuition
Our popular online Computer Science tuition group is available on Tuesday evenings. This tuition group has recently helped students achieve top grades, by shoring up the work that’s being conducted in class and ensuring a good understanding of the topics required.

One to One
Although our online tuition groups are kept small, a group learning environment might not suit everyone. First Coding is able to offer remote one to one tuition to help pupils get the most out of their learning.
Our one to one sessions are currently fully booked.

Alternative Provision Daytime Sessions
First Coding has teamed up with The Underground Studios to become one of the leading computing skills provider as part of Right Choice‘s alternative provision program. From game design through to 3d printing and design, these daytime sessions provide children and teenagers with the confidence to explore new interests whilst providing the opportunity to learn important key skills.
