The after school clubs have paused whilst we all enjoy the half term break. In the final session of the Electronics courses, students were set the challenge of using a Microbit to make a puzzle fit for any escape room. The idea was that a box can only opened when it is orientated in a northerly direction and a button is pressed. Players only have three attempts to open the box before it is locked for good.

This was a really good challenge to finish on as it allowed students to draw on all the skills they’ve learnt in previous weeks. The best bit of all, was that the groups were able to code a solution to the problem in a variety of different ways.
