We have something special for this month’s gaming club subscribers. This month’s project is our radio station software written in Scratch. The project allows you to broadcast songs and messages to anyone who has the Scratch project open and make great use of cloud variables, just like a real online radio station. It also displays the current date and time, track count, and has a station manager login area to add new messages to be sent out.
As First Coding teaches game design during the day in an underground bunker, the theme of the radio software is based on Fallout and as a result is styled to match the gritty, analog aesthetic of an old-world terminal.
