Yesterday, I gave a short talk at the creative workshop IGNITE + CRAFT about the games I create and the process I enjoy following when I make them. I shared why game jams and the power of community are so vital to honing your craft. I also touched on what happens when you step outside the safety of that bubble, which I feel puts a lot of people off.
One highlight was featuring feedback from my Salisbury-inspired games, in particular “Getting Out of Central Car Park with Bags of Shopping“, which was featured on the radio, my favourite comment being:
“I like your car park design, a total disregard for space and pedestrian!”
Shout out to the Wiltshire Feedback Crew, who taught me not to take things too seriously!
